May 2011 Roadtrip in Pictures

Cousin Dawn, friend Heather, and me Tera took a little road trip. Here are some of the highlights in pictures. Enjoy!

We started our trip on Friday at 2:00pm. Meet our traveling buddies in the car behind us...Enrique and Sam.

We got to Vegas and drove the strip, found our hotel, ate some yummy food, shopped and played the penny slots.

Dawn was lucky. Heather and I were not!

Saturday we stopped at Hoover Dam and drove to Scottsdale, Arizona.

That night we celebrated some birthdays and I had to have some Blue Bell Ice Cream. There is nothing better than Blue Bell!!!

We had to have Bahama Bucks while we were in Arizona!

We enjoyed the palm trees, cactus, and sunny weather. All of us think Scottsdale wouldn't be such a bad place to live.

Back to Utah...

We found this awesome fake Sheriff truck with a manequin inside. We couldn't stop laughing! It definitely slows people down!

Thanks for all the planning Dawn.A little over 1600 miles, 3 states, lots of laughs and girl talk, sunshine and fun. It was a great success!

Friday Stress

I thought Fridays were supposed to be the least stressful of all days! What happened to this Friday?! Who knew end of year testing would cause such turmoil? The stress didn't ruin the weekend though.

Girl time,
a raquetball game (thanks Heather),
a little stroll through campus (thanks spring weather FINALLY),
and some yummy ice cream from The Creamery on 9th (thanks Blakes)
relieved the stress!

Let's get the next 3 weeks over with and then I can breath a little easier, I think...

Easter

Happy Easter! I watched this short message today and it filled me with hope and peace. I am grateful for the Savior and all he has done for me. Because he lived a perfect life, suffered for our sins, and is risen, I can make it through this difficult life and so can you!

Recipe for a perfect Saturday

I have needed a quick trip to Grandma's house in Monticello for a while. I am finally here. The perfect Saturday, so far, consists of a good run in fresh, clean air. A chance to clear my head and just think. It doesn't happen very often.

Then this yummy breakfast. Thank you Grandma!

Now I am going to plant myself on the couch next to my family and enjoy listening to the leaders of the church.

Perfect, I tell you! Perfect!

Ellie Dawn

I love Sundays. I especially love that I get to spend time with my family. Most of my family live in the same house right now, so that makes it easy. Today Ellie and I got to hang out for a minute while her parents were gone. I got my computer. She had to get hers too. She typed on her computer that I am the best aunt ever. :) I asked her what I should type about her. This is what Ellie says about herself. "I love to see the temple and I love to go to church. I love to have my birthday. I love my mommy and I love my dad and I love my whole family. " Well, there you have it. I love this girl. She is usually happy and so sweet. I am so glad I am an aunt!
